Finding the Right Solution for Migraine Pain in the PhilippinesMigraine headaches can be debilitating causing the sufferer to endure severe pain for hours or even days at a time. Some have more than 15 migraines during a 30-day period which leads to being diagnosed with chronic migraines. Migraines not only interfere with a person’s day but sometimes life is disrupted at home, work, and socially.

While the medical field does not understand exactly why migraines occur, it’s recognized that they are often linked to the amount of blood flow to and from the head. There is also a connection to the central nervous system and the nerves that go to the brain and how this affects the function of the brain. Migraines can frustrate even the most advanced doctors and specialists because often what helps alleviate pain in one person does not work at all for another, leaving patients and doctors without the answers they seek.

The Best Way to Care for Migraines

Generally, when a migraine begins, a person may start by taking some sort of over-the-counter pain reliever, such as ibuprofen. One drug company in Britain and Australia tried to cash in on this devastating condition by repackaging a drug similar to ibuprofen so as to sell it for specific conditions. For example, the same drug was promoted for migraines, pain relief, and other conditions. The only thing different was the package. Thankfully, the company has been exposed.

Sometimes the way a person perceives things can affect the outcome of how a drug works. A study was done that provided a pill to participants labeled as pain relief, over-the-counter medication, and a placebo. The pill labeled as a pain pill was reported to have worked the best, even though all were the same pill.

A legitimate area that is seeing positive results in helping migraine patients is that of upper cervical chiropractic. By addressing the underlying cause, often a misalignment in the upper neck, proper blood flow can be restored throughout the body. Patients often report seeing results after just one or two adjustments.
